Free Yoga Classes For Backgammon Players
And Their Guests
Caroline Biddle qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga and has been teaching for 20 years. She runs group and private classes in Devon & online as well as running Retreats in Greece & Spain. She taught previously in Buckinghamshire and on Yoga holidays in Sardinia, Croatia and Majorca.
The Yoga we will offer this weekend is aimed at all levels, from complete beginners to experienced yogis. The focus will be on specific areas of the body that may stiffen up during Backgammon matches (or time in front of a computer screen). We will work gently on shoulders, wrists, lower and upper backs, hips and hamstrings. Think less about ‘doing’ Yoga, and more about ‘undoing’ habitual and postural tensions held in the body. Yoga is about unravelling these tensions in order to restore your body to its natural state of ease. By creating space, flexibility and ease in the body we are able to then create space, flexibility and ease in the mind using the breath as a bridge between the two.
Each class will be a mixture of breath and body work culminating in a guided relaxation to leave you feeling refreshed and restored, with a renewed sense of focus for the rest of your weekend. |
